Paul Davis PEI Expands Across the Maritimes with Acquisition of Paul Davis Halifax

Combined company will operate as Paul Davis PEI/Halifax, keeping both franchises locally owned as the Paul Davis network marks its 60th anniversary

HALIFAX, NS — July 9, 2026 — Paul Davis PEI has expanded its operations across the Maritimes with the acquisition of Paul Davis Halifax, the property restoration franchise serving the Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM). The combined company will operate as Paul Davis PEI/Halifax.

The acquisition brings the two Atlantic Canadian franchises together under common local ownership, extending the operating approach behind Paul Davis PEI/Halifax’s rapid growth on the Island to the Halifax market. The transition brings fresh investment into the local franchise while keeping ownership firmly rooted in Atlantic Canada.

“When disaster hits a home or business, people just want to know that someone capable has their back,” says Greg Kemp, President of Paul Davis PEI/Halifax. “Property damage is deeply stressful. Our job isn’t just to rebuild structures; it’s to restore peace of mind. We are excited to bring our team’s experience to the Halifax market, back local staff, and show our neighbours what reliable, compassionate emergency care looks like.”

The expansion comes at a milestone moment, as the broader North American Paul Davis network marks its 60th anniversary this year. For Paul Davis PEI/Halifax, the combination pairs local, boots-on-the-ground decision-making with the deep technical resources of a continent-wide network.

Paul Davis PEI/Halifax also brings a distinct focus on catastrophe response and on complex, commercial, and large-loss restoration — work that demands rapid mobilization, disciplined project management, and the capacity to run multiple large sites at once.

“Catastrophe and large-loss work is where experience matters most,” says Kemp. “My background is in commercial and industrial maintenance and construction, supporting heavy industry where safety, planning, and uptime are non-negotiable. We bring that same discipline to complex commercial losses and community-scale events — we plan for the worst day before it happens, so we can respond at scale when it does.”

A primary focus for Paul Davis PEI/Halifax will be internal workplace culture, with immediate plans to invest heavily in local employee training, certification, and career advancement.

“You can’t deliver great customer service if your team doesn’t feel supported,” says Emily Tripp, who leads business analytics for Paul Davis PEI/Halifax. “We want Paul Davis PEI/Halifax to be the best place to work in the regional restoration industry. When our technicians are empowered, accountable, and proud of what they do, our clients see the difference immediately.”

The acquisition is finalized, and the Halifax operation remains fully operational, providing 24/7 emergency response for fire, water, storm, and mould damage throughout the HRM.
